KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive)
1.Field Monitoring and Fact-Finding
- Conduct regular field visits to camps, programme sites, cooperating partners, distribution points, and other operational locations to gather information, verify activities, and identify potential risks, irregularities, or compliance concerns.
- Support fact-finding exercises, preliminary inquiries, and documentation reviews related to allegations, complaints, incidents, or operational issues.
2. Risk Monitoring and Information Collection
- Collect, compile, and analyze information from field offices, partners, beneficiaries, and operational units to support risk monitoring and reporting.
- Assist in tracking risk indicators, emerging issues, and implementation of mitigation actions across programme activities.
3. Compliance and Monitoring Activities
- Participate in monitoring missions, spot checks, verification exercises, and compliance reviews to assess adherence to WFP policies, procedures, and partner agreements.
- Document observations, findings, and recommendations from field visits and monitoring activities.
4. Support to Assessments and Reviews
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, control reviews, and operational assessments in country and field offices.
- Gather evidence, maintain records, and support the preparation of assessment reports and follow-up actions.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Maintain effective working relationships with field office staff, local authorities, community representatives, and beneficiaries.
- Support coordination and communication between different stakeholders to facilitate monitoring, information sharing, and issue resolution.
6. Training and Awareness Support
- Assist in the organization of workshops, training sessions, and awareness activities related to risk management, compliance, anti-fraud, and accountability.
7. Audit and Oversight Support
- Assist with follow-up on outstanding compliance and oversight actions.
8. Anti-Fraud and Accountability Activities
- Support the implementation and promotion of WFP’s Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption (AFAC) standards and accountability frameworks.
- Assist in collecting and documenting information related to reported incidents, complaints, and suspected misconduct in accordance with established procedures.
9. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of monitoring visits, interviews, observations, and findings.
- Prepare summaries, field visit reports, briefing notes, and data inputs for management reporting.
10. Other Duties
- Undertake any other monitoring, compliance, risk, or field-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education: Completion of University Degree (Bachelor or equivalent) is required. Education in Accounting/Finance/Criminology or any related functional area is desirable.
Experience: At least 5 years of overall experience in one or more of the following areas: investigations, monitoring, risk management, or audit.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.

Desired Profile
• Experience conducting audit, field monitoring, investigation or verification exercises.
• Familiarity with operations in refugee camps, humanitarian settings, or field-based programmes.
• Strong interviewing, observation, and evidence-gathering skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with beneficiaries, partners, local authorities, and community leaders.
• Good report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to remote field locations and work independently in challenging environments.
• Experience supporting investigations, compliance reviews, complaint handling, safeguarding, fraud risk management, or accountability mechanisms is highly desirable.
