Providing input to event design and management and coordination of communications. Events include meetings, panels and webinars.

Duties and Responsibilities
The UNEP-convened Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society. The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone. The CCAC provides secretariat services to the Global Methane Pledge. More information about the Global Methane Pledge is here: www. globalmethanepledge.org. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the Secretariat at the Economy Division in Paris. The CCAC Secretariat is seeking a Specialist to help coordinate various activities under its Fossil Fuels Hub. The Fossil Fuels Hub brings together state and non-state partners to promote significant reductions in methane and black carbon emissions from the oil, gas, and coal industries.
Fossil fuel related activities include organizing activities to deliver the Fossil Fuel Regulatory Programme (FFRP) and Methane Regulator-to-Regulator (MR2R) Network.
Qualifications/special skills
A university degree and/or advanced degree in climate policy, international relations and trade, or elements thereof.
Understanding of development, promotion and organization of peer-to-peer platforms and exchange mechanisms.
Understanding of methane and other short lived climate pollutant (SLCP) emissions and their associated impact on climate as well as mitigation opportunities with strong commitment to continuous learning on topic and fossil fuel related activities. –Proficiency in preparing meetings and events read outs, key messages and content.
Planning, action tracking and close out competency.
Knowledge of IT systems and administrative processes.
Successful candidates are likely to have attention to detail, be systematic, with highly developed organisational and interpersonal capabilities.
Experience in supporting country and stakeholder engagement, including established networks with strategic actors.
Work with knowledge platforms or online resource libraries is considered highly desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.
Knowledge of an additional UN language. French or Chinese is considered an asset.
