Deliverable 1.2. Provide strategic advice and technical support to consult with experts on the content of the MCDE framework and consolidate their inputs
Deliverable 1.3. Provide written expert technical input for the content of the strategy document to describe the EMRO MCDE approach and framework
Deliverable 1.4: Make a final technical review of the document.
Deliverable 2.1. Provide strategic advice and senior expertise in communicable diseases for the identification of the elements of the investment case
Deliverable 2.2. Make technical reviews of the investment case content produced by OECD
Deliverable 2.3. Provide strategic advice and written technical input in communicable diseases for the development of two MCDE packages
Deliverable 3.1: Participate in the regular strategic calls with the Project Team to monitor country implementation and in regular calls with participating countries to provide supervision and evaluation of in-country implementation
Deliverable 3.2. Provide ad-hoc, specific technical support for the conduction of HAI point prevalence surveys to maximum two countries participating in the project, as needed
Deliverable 3.3. Contribute with strategic input to the development of the agenda of the WHO workshop and participate in it as a senior expert on HAI surveillance.
5. Specific requirements
Qualifications required :
Master’s degree in medicine, with specialization in public health and/or infectious diseases.
Experience required :
More than 10 years of experience as an infectious diseases specialist and working at ministerial level, including clinical experience as well as experience in leadership positions and policy development
Skills / Technical skills and knowledge :
Excellent strategic thinking, project planning and monitoring, English writing of technical and policy documents, as well as knowledge about infectious diseases prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Language requirements :
Expert English and Arabic

Remotely (Place of residence).
7. Medical clearance
The selected Consultant will be expected to provide a medical certificate of fitness for work.
8. Travel
There will be no travel.
