Project Context and Scope
IOM Morocco implements several programmes aimed at strengthening the protection of migrants in vulnerable situations, promoting alternatives to irregular migration, and supporting sustainable reintegration through assistance, awareness-raising, communication, and social cohesion activities.
Under the overall supervision of the Media and Communications Unit (MCU), the consultant will provide technical support for the production of communication, awareness-raising, digital, audiovisual, and visibility materials, while contributing to the documentation and promotion of programme activities implemented with institutional and civil society partners.

Tasks to be performed under this contract
Under the overall supervision of the Media and Communications Unit (MCU), the consultant will:Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of communication, awareness-raising and visibility activities related to the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme and other Protection Department initiatives.Produce high-quality communication materials, including written, visual, digital and audiovisual content (stories, videos, interviews, photo reports, social media content, podcasts and institutional publications).Develop and adapt multilingual information and awareness-raising materials targeting migrants and vulnerable populations, in line with IOM communication and branding standards.Contribute to the documentation and promotion of programme activities implemented with institutional counterparts and civil society organizations through field missions and communication products.Support the preparation of institutional publications and visibility materials, including brochures, factsheets, reports, newsletters, digital content and other communication tools.Assist in media-related activities, including drafting press releases, media briefs, press reviews and other communication products.Review, edit and quality assure communication products to ensure consistency with IOM editorial, branding and visibility guidelines.Perform any other communication-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.Expected timeline: Activities will be implemented throughout the 9-month consultancy period, according to the Communication Unit workplan and programme priorities.

Performance will be assessed based on:Timely delivery of high-quality communication, visibility and awareness-raising products in accordance with agreed workplans.Effective contribution to the implementation of communication activities supporting AVRR and other Protection Department programmes.Quality, relevance and adaptability of communication products for different target audiences and communication platforms.Production of multilingual information and communication materials aligned with IOM editorial and branding standards.Effective documentation and promotion of field activities, programme achievements and partnerships.Demonstrated ability to coordinate with programme teams, external service providers and partners while meeting deadlines.Responsiveness, initiative and ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Education
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Audiovisual Production, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
Experience
- Demonstrated professional experience in institutional communication, journalism, media, audiovisual production, digital communication or related fields.
- Proven experience in producing communication materials, including storytelling, videos, podcasts, social media content, institutional publications and other multimedia products.
- Experience in developing awareness-raising and information materials for different target audiences.
- Experience working with international organizations, NGOs or projects related to migration, protection, humanitarian assistance or development is an advantage.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and coordinating with multiple stakeholders is desirable.
Skills
- Excellent writing, editing and content adaptation skills for different audiences and communication platforms.
- Strong knowledge of digital communication, social media management and institutional communication.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software, with the ability to produce high-quality visual and audiovisual communication materials.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong organizational, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Good knowledge of IOM branding, visibility and editorial standards is an asset.
Languages
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy.
