The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant will be responsible for delivering the following: -Training materials, workshops and guidance to staff members on promoting diversity and inclusion. Identifies areas for improvement and includes recommendations for addressing them.

Duties and Responsibilities

The United Nations Secretary-General is responsible for the investment of the assets of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). The Secretary-General has delegated this responsibility to the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the UNJSPF (RSG). The RSG heads the Office of Investment Management (OIM), which manages a $100+ billion multi-asset class, global investment portfolio, about 85% of which is actively managed in-house.

Asset classes under management comprise global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, timber, and commodities. OIM’s staff are all based in New York but come from over 30 countries. For more information, please visit https://unjspf.org/. Under the supervision of the OIM Business Support Section Human Resources Officer, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties:

Plan workshop content with the appropriate stakeholders to strengthen UNJSPF's commitment to anti-racism, gender equality, and disability inclusion.

Develop and deliver 5 sessions/workshops and provide follow-up support.

Perform other assignments as required.

Qualifications/special skills

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in human resource management, psychology, industrial relations, sociology, education or related fields. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the fields of human resources, diversity, equity and inclusion, education, facilitation or coaching is required.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the consultancy. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
