TERMS OF REFERENCE
This consultancy aims to document and systematize practices of meaningful participation of unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) and young migrants and refugees in Italy, and to translate these practices into a structured training package to be rolled out with reception system professionals.
Education
University Degree (Bachelors) is desired in
- Social sciences
- Migration and development studies
- Human rights / international development
Work Experience
- At least 5–7 years in child protection, migration or participation
- Proven experience with UASC or refugee & migrant youth
- Experience in documentation and/or training development
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills
- Research/documentation expertise
- Knowledge of CRC and child participation frameworks
- Experience with participatory methodologies
- Strong facilitation and training skills
- Ability to work with vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of Italian reception system
Language Requirements
- Italian (fluent)
- English (fluent)
Desirables
- Experience with UNICEF or UN system
- Proficiency in digital communication and presentation tools, including Canva and Microsoft PowerPoint.
