TERMS OF REFERENCE
The consultant will provide technical support to the Social Policy Section in generating robust, policy-relevant evidence from the Mother and Child Cash Transfer Plus (MCCT+) programme through the systematic consolidation, harmonization, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of existing programme data. The consultancy will focus on the analysis of the baseline, midline, and endline datasets from MCCT+ Phases I and II, as well as the available baseline and midline datasets from Phase III, to generate evidence that informs programme improvement, adaptive management, policy dialogue, programme scale-up, and future programming.
Minimum requirements
- Education: An advanced university degree (Master`s) in Economics, Economic Development, Econometrics or other related social science.
- Work Experience: At least five years of progressively responsible experience in development economics research, quantitative analysis, impact evaluation, or applied econometrics
Skills :
- Demonstrated experience analysing household survey and impact evaluation datasets.
- Strong knowledge of econometric and statistical analysis techniques, including repeated cross-sectional analysis and quasi-experimental methods.
- Strong quantitative skills using Stata (R or Python).
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic
- Desirables: Prior work experience with UNICEF or other UN organization is an asset

- A detailed technical proposal: Applicants are requested to submit one writing sample (max 10 pages) demonstrating relevant research experience in social protection using survey data. The sample should meet the following criteria: be (co)-authored by the applicant, be relevant to the assignment, align with the deliverables such as technical guidance, analysis or policy-oriented document.
