UNICEF Mexico's Individual Giving team operates an integrated Salesforce ecosystem composed of multiple interconnected products and platforms: Sales Cloud (core CRM and donor management), Marketing Cloud with Mobile Studio (email, SMS, and digital campaign execution), WhatsApp and Digital Engagement (conversational donor interactions), and a network of middleware integrations connecting Salesforce to payment gateways, call center platforms, digital acquisition tools, and the organization's central digital platform GGPX.
How can you make a difference?
The Fundraising Officer (Salesforce Product Owner), NO-1 is part of the Individual Giving team within the Private Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP) section in Mexico Country Office. This role operates as the critical bridge between the fundraising business and the data & technology ecosystem that supports it, providing a transversal service to all PFP functions that depend on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and digital engagement capabilities.
This position connects the Business User and Business Analyst layers with the CRM Platform where the Salesforce ecosystem lives. The Fundraising Officer (Salesforce Product Owner), NO-1 understands the language of both worlds: 1) the fundraising strategy and donor management priorities of the business, and 2) the functional logic of the Salesforce products and middleware integrations that operationalize them.
A key dimension of this role is ensuring that the entire fundraising technology ecosystem operates in compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and other applicable data security protocols, in close coordination with the Database and ICT sections. The Fundraising Officer (Salesforce Product Owner), NO-1 plays a pivotal role in continuous improvement, security protocol governance, and the ongoing optimization of all technology platforms and data management operations that support Individual Giving.
Key functions and responsibilities
Minimum requirements
Proven experience working as a liaison between business stakeholders and external technical development teams or vendors is required.
Ability to manage and optimize CRM solutions.
Demonstrated ability to leverage marketing automation and digital engagement platforms.
Ability to ensure effective data management, quality and governance across integrated platforms.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate technology vendors, implementation partners, and technical teams.
Ability to embed data security and PCI DSS requirements into technology solutions and system developments.
Desirables
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) is an asset.
- A specialization or certification in one of the following is an asset: Product Management, Agile / Scrum (Certified Scrum Product Owner — CSPO, SAFe PO/PM), or Project Management (PMP, PMI-ACP), CRM Strategy, Digital Marketing, Fundraising Management, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Information Management.
- Salesforce certifications, particularly Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator, are highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience managing, developing, and/or implementing Salesforce platforms, including Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Community Cloud), or additional clouds is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating functional and technical teams is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in API architecture and middleware integration management between Salesforce and external systems (payment gateways, call center platforms, data warehouses) is an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments are conditional on the selected candidate's willingness to comply with current or future vaccination requirements, should UNICEF mandate it for personnel. Failure to comply with such requirements, where applicable and without a duly approved medical exemption from the relevant UN authority, will result in the cancellation of the selection or may lead to other administrative measures, including separation from service.
