Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the CoM and the Head of Programmes (Humanitarian), and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer (CBI), the successful candidate will support the CBI unit’s data collection, protection, management and utilization.
The incumbent will be responsible for management of Unified Cash Transfer data and the systems required for its storage, protection and analysis. This position will support providing flexibility to address diverse humanitarian needs through cash assistance that covers the common needs of people within each Strategic Priority through a harmonized transfer, directly contributing to the humanitarian outcomes.
They will support the CBI unit’s reporting and monitoring by collecting, consolidating and extracting relevant data for use in internal and external publications, reviews, reports and assessments. Additionally, they will ensure data sharing procedures and deadlines are respected, with particular attention to regular and ad-hoc internal, Unified Cash Transfer, OCHA, partner, and donor requests for information.
- Provide technical support on the implementation of an integrated mechanism for data gathering and information management across CBI activities.
- Assist in data collection, input, cleaning, validation, and initial analysis of data for the IOM CBI program unit, contribute to overall management of a fully functional database, using software such as Excel, Kobo toolbox, SPSS, Power BI, etc.
- Assist in monitoring data collection activities of the CBI activities.
- Maintain relevant and updated datasets, including population data, cash disbursements, and any other information needed to monitor and report.
- Coordinate with the Senior Project Associate the preparation and verification of all the necessary data for the transfer of cash assistance to beneficiaries.
- Support timely preparation and generation of information products by preparing templates in line with the IOM style guide.
- Support the unit in reporting efforts, including the systematic reporting at cluster level for CBI activities through the 4Ws.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- High school diploma with at least five years of relevant work experience; Or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in data management and use of different techniques for data visualization and monitoring for CBI programming.
- Extensive knowledge of data protection guidelines and principles;
- Experience working with a non-governmental organization and/or international organization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CBI programming within IOM and/or other UN agencies.
- Expertise of ESRI ArcGIS and other GIS-related software is an advantage;
Skills
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office applications;
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is required.
- Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility and drive for results;
- Basic knowledge of Python programming and syntax is an advantage
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Id-Design / Photoshop /PoweBI, GIS/ Kobo toolbox/ SPSS or other graphics software;
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;

Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English and Ukrainian is required (oral and written).
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
