For every child, the right to Digital opportunities
Afghanistan Country Office is seeking an experienced Information Management Officer responsible for providing technical and operational support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) on all beneficiary data issues and is responsible for managing the data analytics and information systems necessary for implementing Humanitarian Cash Transfer (HCT) and Incentive Payments projects.
How can you make a difference?
The fundamental mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does — in programs, in advocacy and in operations. The past two decades have seen important progress on child rights, yet while much has been achieved, sharp disparities remain. In most countries, inequality is higher today than a generation ago, including in middle-income countries where a majority of the world’s poor children now live. The rapid pace of urbanization and the growing youth bulge in Africa and parts of Asia will require significant expansion of the provision of essential services for children. These challenges are compounded by the scale and complexity of crises triggered by conflict, natural disasters or epidemics.

The Project Management Unit (PMU), through its Cash and Incentives Team and Beneficiary Data Management Team, supports the nationwide implementation of several types of cash transfer programmes, including:
Monthly incentive payments for frontline service providers, including teachers and Polio Front

- Ad hoc cash transfer interventions developed in response to the programming needs of the Afghanistan Country Office’s Programme Sections.
The Beneficiary Data Management Team provides information management, and systems support to facilitate effective programme operations, strengthen data management processes, and promote evidence-based decision-making across the PMU and Programme Sections.
