Functions / Key Results Expected
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, supervision of National Senior Human Resources (HR) Officer and direct supervision of Senior Human Resources Specialist (L&D and Reporting) Intern will be responsible for the following administrative tasks:
- File incoming/outgoing correspondence and other documents accordingly. Scan/copy documents. File-research as/when needed for follow-up purposes.
- Assist with arranging job interviews and inviting candidates (contact candidates, create meetings, book calendars).
- Assist with posting the vacancies on IOM Ukraine official website and other related resources, when required.
- Assist with updating units’ organigrammes on a monthly basis or upon Project Managers’ request.
- Assist with verifying monthly attendance records for the selected units.
- Assist with collecting data for danger pay verification and processing.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Deliverables
Updated units’ organigrammes.
Verified attendance records.
Collected data for danger pay processing.
- Interviews arranged on time and candidates invited.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should:
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of Bachelor’s / Master`s level or equivalent;
- be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
or have graduated with a university degree (not later than 1 year ago).
Technical mastery of the following software programs: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to handle routine and repetitive tasks.
- Good organisational skills.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues within a team from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. Interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend.
IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
