Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Policy and Programme Support Unit and the direct supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Officer, the successful candidate will support reporting, information management and related programme support functions within the Policy and Programme Support Unit.
- Support the collection, consolidation and organization of inputs from programme teams for reports, updates, briefing notes and other reporting-related documents.
- Assist in maintaining reporting trackers, information management tools and shared filing systems to support reporting processes.
- Support the review, formatting and quality assurance of reports and other programme-related documents.
- Participate in and provide support for program-related meetings and conferences at both the national and international levels.
- Provide technical support to Programme Units on the use of PRIMA, as needed.
- As part of the Policy and Programme Support Unit (PPSU), support other PPSU functions as needed. This includes project development, monitoring and evaluation and compliance.
- Undertake travel duties relating to project/programme monitoring, liaison with counterparts, problem solving, and new project/programme development, as required.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Education
University degree in Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Political Science, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution from an accredited academic institution.
Experience
- Previous internship, volunteer, academic, or professional experience related to reporting, research, information management, programme support, communications, or administration is an advantage.
- Experience in designing and managing information management tools to facilitate report writing
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is desirable.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, especially database tools and strong Excel knowledge;
- Ability to review, consolidate and organize information from multiple sources.
- Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines;
- Ability to timely understand the Organization’s structure and portfolios;
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds;
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated interest in migration, development, humanitarian, or related fields.
- Written and verbal communication skills in Thai is an advantage
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Proficiency in spoken and written Thai is an advantage but is not required.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Notes
Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. Interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend.
IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
