Result of Service

The consultant will contribute to ensuring the efficient technical maintenance and upgrades of UNCTAD ASYCUDA systems in the central Asia region

01.07.26 to 30.11.26

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the incumbent will undertake the following duties :

ICT and database maintenance and operation of servers, networks, and other critical infrastructure part of ASYCUDA systems in transition economies region

Support national teams at the local level hardware installation and software development, installation, and upgrades for the national ASYCUDA systems and their components (E-Borders, e-Commerce, ASYPAP etc.)

Implement integrations with technical control equipment

Generate operational and statistical reports, upon beneficiary request

Ensure all technical problems are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner

Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved within scope and time

Provide advanced technical trainings to national technical teams and ensure they are aligned with project objectives

Qualifications/special skills

A first university degree, Bachelor, in information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related area is required. At least 7 years of progressively responsible work experience of work in ICT sector is required. Experience of design, development, testing and piloting complex ICT applications is required. Experience in providing IT services to government organizations related to import-export operations or working in public sector is desirable. Experience of dealing with international ICT projects is desirable.

Languages

Fluency spoken and written in English is required. Knowledge of Russian is desirable
