Result of Service
All CRM tickets assigned to the Telecoms service team to be resolved. Installation, configuration and support to all conferences listed on the ICTS Telecoms team conference support calendar to be completed. All issues that cannot be resolved with existing network architecture to be escalated.

Duties and Responsibilities
These 2 posts locate in the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Division of Administration (DoA), Information and Communication Technology Service (ICTS); the individual contractors report to Chief of the Service Desk Unit, in ICTS Service Desk Unit, Telecoms Team:
Installs, repairs and tests telecom software and hardware, telecom and network cables, sockets and switch room patches
Updates and maintains information systems data accurately in relation to user requests (moves, new users, conferences, high level visits, etc.), equipment inventories (including location), user contact information, vendor Web interfaces, and network configuration
Manufactures local network-compatible network cables
Installs and tests LAN connections, mini-switches, wireless (WiFi) networks
Provides telecoms installation, configuration and support for conferences
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications/special skills
High school diploma is required. 5 years work experience in one of the following job fields: IT, Telephony, Networking, Network Support, Electricity, Logistics is required. Experience of VOIP and Network Asset Management is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written French is required. Knowledge of English is desirable.
