Job Highlight
UNOPS procures high-voltage power transformers under Lot 1 – Seven Transformers for Port Moresby (Boroko, Konedobu, Waigani, Bomana) and Lae (Gusap). Following contract award, the awarded Supplier/Manufacturer will be required to undertake the detailed engineering and manufacturing of the transformers in compliance to the IEC 60076 and in accordance with the contract technical specifications, approved data sheets, applicable international standards and other contractual requirements.
As part of the manufacturing engineering process, the manufacturer/supplier will submit detailed design calculations, drawings, equipment selections, technical schedules and supporting documentation for review prior to manufacture.
Given the technical complexity, criticality, capital value and long-term operational importance of high-voltage power transformers, the Project intends to engage a suitably qualified High-Voltage Power Transformer Design Review Specialist on a retainer basis to provide independent specialist support to the Project's technical team.
