TERMS OF REFERENCE
UNICEF Jordan supports the delivery of integrated child development and protection services through Makani centers placed in Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps, providing children and adolescents with access to learning support services, skills building, life skills, psychosocial support, child protection, early childhood development, and parenting programs. The programme is implemented through Syrian Incentive-Based Volunteers (IBVs), covering different roles, including center managers, programme facilitators, data entries, outreach, admins, minders, cleaners, security guards, etc.
Education
- Social Work, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Information Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Communication, Software Engineering, IT, Psychology, Education, Community Development, Program Management, Artificial Intelligence Humanitarian Studies, Data Science or any related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in program monitoring, community-based programming, social protection and/or child protection, or a related field within a humanitarian or development context.
- Prior experience working in refugee camp settings in Jordan is required.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in Makani sub- programs and components (SB, CPC, LSS, ECD).
- Demonstrated knowledge of child protection principles and referral mechanisms.
- Experience in program monitoring, field data collection, and structured reporting.
- Familiarity with community-based service delivery and volunteer-based program models.
- Ability to identify quality gaps and communicate findings clearly in writing.
- Computer literacy includes the use of standard MS Office tools and data entry systems.
Language Requirements
- Arabic: fluent;
- English: working knowledge
Desirables
- Prior experience with the Makani program or similar integrated child development programs.
- Prior experience with the LSS, SB, CPC, and ECD programs.
- Familiarity with UNICEF's Information Management System (IMS - BAYANATI) or equivalent program monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting or working alongside incentive-based volunteers (IBVs) in humanitarian settings.
