Project Context and Scope
Under the overall direct supervision of the Senior Migration Health Nurse, the staff will support the daily operations of the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) by providing high-quality nursing services throughout the migration health assessment process. The consultant will contribute to ensuring efficient, timely, and client-centered service delivery while maintaining compliance with IOM standards, infection prevention and control measures, and quality management procedures.

Tasks to be performed under this contract
1. Perform daily nursing activities required for Migration Health Assessments, including medical examinations, specimen collection, vaccinations, TB management, treatment support, referrals, documentation, and pre-departure health procedures.2. Conduct routine nursing assessments, including measuring vital signs, height, weight, and visual acuity in accordance with IOM technical instructions.3. Collect blood, urine, sputum, and other specimens while ensuring proper identification, handling, documentation, transportation, and biosafety procedures.4. Support laboratory, radiology, vaccination, and tuberculosis management activities as required.5. Provide migrants with information and counselling regarding the migration health assessment process, treatment plans, referrals, vaccination, TB, and other health-related issues.6. Ensure accurate applicant identification, medical history collection, documentation, and data entry throughout all stages of the migration health assessment process.7. Maintain compliance with Health Assessment Programme (HAP) SOPs, quality standards, infection prevention and control measures, and universal precautions.8. Maintain and monitor pharmacy supplies, medical consumables, emergency kits, and other clinical stock while reporting shortages in a timely manner.9. Assist in preparing reports, statistics, and programme updates as required.10. Support mobile health assessment missions and other field activities when required.11. Assist with pre-departure medical activities, documentation, and medical movements.12. Perform medical escort duties when assigned, ensuring continuity of care throughout the migration process.13. Collaborate effectively with physicians, laboratory personnel, radiology staff, administrative teams, embassies, and other internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient service delivery.14. Maintain confidentiality of medical information and comply with IOM Standards of Conduct.15. Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education
• Valid nursing license to practice in Egypt.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
Experience
• Experience in tuberculosis management, immunization, communicable diseases.
• Experience working in multicultural or international environments is desirable.
Skills
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Knowledge of migration health assessment procedures is an asset.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a multicultural environment.
Languages
For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
