Scope of work

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, and in close collaboration with the UNICEF Education team and relevant government counterparts, the consultant will provide technical, coordination, and monitoring support to the implementation of the AIC and CFS interventions in Huíla and Cunene provinces.

Minimum requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s - Education, social studies or other related/relevant fields

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience with Education programs

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in Portuguese is essential

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:

• Previous experience managing education projects

• Previous experience with the United Nations System

• Proven knowledge of the CFS and the AIC approach is an asset

• Experience working with government counterparts

Desirables:

• Candidate to be based either in Huila or Cunene

• Experience with community engagement/SBC

Mission costs: The consultancy involves a significant number of field missions. In line with the UNICEF policy, the consultant will be responsible in organizing and administering his/her own travel. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on actual costs supported by corresponding receipts or supporting documents. Travel costs should not be included in the financial proposal. Candidates should only provide their proposed professional fees.
