TERMS OF REFERENCE
The purpose of this temporary consultancy is to provide technical assistance to UNICEF Algeria and the three partner ministries for the contextualization, training of trainers, supervised duplication, coaching, follow-up and capitalization of the ADOLECENT KIT approach, in reference to the Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) framework.
Education
Education, social sciences, psychology, social work, adolescent development, training engineering, pedagogy or related disciplines.
Work Experience
• At least 7 years of confirmed professional experience in capacity building, training of trainers, facilitation and/or institutional support related to life skills, non-formal education, adolescent development, psychosocial support, youth empowerment or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training for public-sector cadres, trainers, youth workers, educators, social workers or frontline actors.
• Proven experience in producing training materials, methodological tools, facilitation guides, evaluation tools and capitalization reports.
• Experience in supporting replication, dissemination, coaching or quality follow-up processes is a strong asset.
• Ability to work with public institutions and adapt technical responses to intersectoral institutional needs.
Knowledge/Expertised/Skills
• Good understanding of life skills approaches and, preferably, familiarity with the Adolescent Kit and the LSCE framework.
• Strong participatory facilitation, adult learning/andragogy, coaching, documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to integrate inclusion, gender sensitivity, disability inclusion, child safeguarding, ethics and data protection into training and field support activities.
Language Requirements
• Fluency in French is required. Fluency in Arabic is highly desirable. Knowledge of English is an asset.
Desirables
• Previous experience with UNICEF, UN agencies or international development partners.
• Experience working with ministries or public institutions in Algeria.
• Experience in adolescent participation, innovation, community engagement or social inclusion programming.
