How can you make a difference?
The primary purpose of this consultancy is to hire an international expert to provide technical support to conduct a needs assessment on how digital tools, including AI, can support the uptake of the newly developed teaching and learning materials and the structured pedagogical approach introduced to the pre-primary and primary school teachers and head teachers in Sierra Leone. The findings will inform next steps—such as development of new tools or content, training on existing or new tools, small-scale investments in new solutions, or other options based on the results.

UNICEF does not hire candidates who are married to children (persons under 18). UNICEF is committed to promote the protection and safeguarding of all children. All selected candidates will, therefore, undergo rigorous reference and background checks, and will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles.
