How can you make a difference?
Under the overall guidance of the Nutrition Manager, the candidate will,
- Provide sound technical support for the integration and delivery of high-impact nutrition interventions (prevention and treatment services) at the national and sub-national levels and across sectors.
- support the implementation of the Nutrition SBC Strategy and Campaign and Food System interventions aimed to contribute to enhancing dietary diversity, preventing common childhood illnesses and improving MIYCN; diets, services and care practices
- Provide support to the nutrition and food system interventions programme by efficiently managing organizational resources and monitoring results.
Track and manage the utilization of grants, ensuring compliance with results-based principles and standards, UNICEF guidelines, and donor conditionalities
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support nutrition programme development, planning and implementation
- Technical support and coordination for the efficient and effective implementation of nutrition programmes and results.
- Nutrition programme management, monitoring and quality assurance
- Effective partnership and networking, advocacy and information sharing for resource mobilization and implementation of nutrition programmes
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
Minimum requirements
Desirables
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Experience of working in agri-food or livestock sector will be an assest.
- Working experience for the UN or other international development organization would be an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.

Government employees who are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government positions before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. Visa residence requirements: i.e. UNICEF shall not facilitate the issuance of a visa and working authorization for candidates under consideration for positions at the national officer and general service category.
