The Rome Common Services Center (CSC) will be newly established following the relocation of several UNICEF HQ Divisions to Rome, where they will be co-located with WFP HQ. The Rome CSC will play a critical role in delivering operational support to all UNICEF Divisions based in Rome as well as coordinating closely with WFP on the services provided to UNICEF.
Under the supervision of the ICT Officer (P2) in the Rome CSC who manages customer services, the incumbent will ensure that the right people and devices have the appropriate access to the right resources at the right time, thereby securing organizational data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency. This role is a vital component of the UNICEF Rome’s overall cybersecurity posture, acting as a gatekeeper for digital identities.

1. User Access and Device Lifecycle Management
Creating, managing, and disabling user accounts and device access throughout their profile and tenure with the organization's onboarding, relocating, and off-boarding processes;
Supporting user workspace settings
2. Policy and best practice enforcement
Defining, implementing, and enforcing access policies and role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure consistency and security across the network and resources;
Performing regular maintenance and updates on all ICT equipment
3. Authentication Management
Implementing and managing secure authentication methods, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, to verify identities effectively;
4. Monitoring and Auditing
Continuously monitoring user and device activity for potential security incidents, conducting regular access reviews, and generating reports for compliance purposes;
Supporting ICT Asset inventory tracking (Asset counter)
5. Incident Response and Troubleshooting
Investigating and resolving identity-related security incidents and troubleshooting access issues to minimize business disruption;
Handling service calls and escalation
Minimum requirements
Desirables
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft suite such as MS365, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Copilot etc. is an asset.
- Knowledge of UNICEF's Ticketing system (ServiceNow) is an asset.
- Work experience at a Shared Services Center is an asset.
- Knowledge of UN/ UNICEF's rules, regulations and procedures are considered as assets.
- Experience in managing and maintaining cloud services such as Infrastructure, Platform, etc. as a Service is an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments are conditional on the selected candidates willingness to comply with current or future vaccination requirements, should UNICEF mandate it for personnel. Failure to comply with such requirements, where applicable and without a duly approved medical exemption from the relevant UN authority, will result in the cancellation of the selection or may lead to other administrative measures, including separation from service.
