TERMS OF REFERENCE
Sudan continues to face multiple and overlapping public health emergencies (PHEs), including recurrent cholera, dengue, measles, flood and malaria outbreaks, compounded by conflict and limited access to basic services. Effective Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) remain central to the national response, ensuring communities are informed, engaged, and active partners in preventing and mitigating disease outbreaks.
QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE/ COMPETENCIES (CORE/TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL) / LANGUAGE SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ASSIGNMENT
Minimum Qualifications required:
Master`s in Social/behavioral/communication science other fields with relevant certified trainings in behavioral and social communication
Years of Experience/ Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required*:
Work Experience:
• 5 years of relevant experience in RCCE especially public health emergencies and outbreak responses project development and management in any UN system agency or organization is an asset.
• At least 3 years of experience of working in an emergency setting in Sub Saharan is required.
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:
• Ability to work in most extreme hardships.
• Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate in a multicultural environment.
• Computer literacy with high ability to use excel spread sheets.
• Completed training on BSAFE
Language Requirements:
• Ability to write clear and concise reports in English.
• Fluency in Arabic is an added advantage
