Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the WB Program Coordinator , the direct supervision of the Data and Analyst Associate and in close coordination with relevant units and team, the incumbent will be responsible to support project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, summarise, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget by verifying availability of funds, obtaining necessary approval and updating budget-related information.
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identify shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of supervisor.
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.
- Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries. Set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform such other relevant duties as maybe assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Business Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Able to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines
Knowledge of financial, procurement and general administrative procedure
Knowledge of PRIMA, SAP and Oracle is a strong advantage
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications, specially Excel
Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility, responsibility, team work.
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English and one of the local languagse spoken (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) is required.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
