Responsibilities and Accountabilities.

  • Provide general/clerical assistance and support the implementation and organization of CT/LMSI project activities, such as meetings, trainings, workshops and other community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in notetaking and reporting project-related activities, support in translating project and communication materials to/from Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Support administrative tasks for project implementation, including coordinating with various organizational units or external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, monitor the ongoing process, and follow-up administrative actions
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics to support project reporting and external communication efforts.
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Project Associate assist in developing and design presentations, visibility products, statistical tables, project briefs, info sheets, newsletters, and other forms of publication materials.
  • Under the guidance of Senior Project Associate, assist in updating project monitoring and evaluation tools.
  • Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

  • School diploma with three years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience

  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations is an advantage
  • Indonesian national with good knowledge and understanding of migration, trafficking in persons, and labour mobility issues
  • Able to manage workload within general schedule of work, instructions and standard practices
Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds

Skills

  • Good organizational skills, including logistics, preparing materials for training/workshops, and able to work in fast-paced environments
  • Technology savvy, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Good understanding of protection, ability to implement do no harm principles when working with vulnerable groups
  • Good research and writing skills, with limited use of AI
  • Being proactive and able to follow guidance with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate design software (Photoshop, Canva, etc.) would be an advantage
  • Good personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and creative thinking
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds

Languages

All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).

For this position, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia are required (oral and written).

Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
