How can you make a difference?
UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfil their potential.
Across more than 190 countries and territories, UNICEF works every day to help children survive and thrive, guided by its mandate to uphold the Convention on the Rights of the Child. UNICEF brings together global evidence, innovative solutions, and partnerships across governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector to drive results at scale.
Education is central to UNICEF’s mandate and to achieving sustainable development and equitable outcomes for children. UNICEF supports countries to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, with particular focus on the most marginalized learners.
In support of the UNICEF Strategic Plan and the UNICEF Education Strategy, the Global Education Practice provides strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational support to country offices. Delivering on this mandate requires a workforce that is agile, diverse, and equipped with the right mix of skills, experience, and deployment modalities.
UNICEF aims to improve how talent within the Global Education Practice is identified, developed, sourced, and deployed to ensure excellence in education programming and technical assistance. This consultancy will support the reinvigoration and operationalisation of the Global Education Practice Talent Management Strategy.
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Adviser (Education) for Global Management and Partnerships, and in close collaboration with HR Business Partners, the wider Global Education Practice, and relevant Global Programme Division counterparts, the consultant will support the areas as described in the detailed TOR.
