The consultancy aims to strengthen the competencies of child psychologists through advanced training and professional supervision. The consultant will:
- Deliver training on prevention of adolescent substance use and other risk behaviours.
- Deliver training on evidence-based psychological interventions for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Provide external professional supervision for complex child protection and mental health cases.

- Minimum requirements:
- Education: Master`s in in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatry or other related field.
- Work Experience:
- At least 8 years of practical experience in the direct provision of psychological support to children, including the rehabilitation of child victims of violence; at least 3 years of experience providing professional supervision to psychologists;
Proven experience in providing training in the above field;
- Language Requirements:
- Working knowledge of English is mandatory for internal communication and reporting.
- Proficiency in Russian is considered an asset.
- Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:
- Deep understanding of UNICEF approaches and recommendations in the field of child protection and psycho-social support of children; experience of work with UNICEF will be an asset;
- Excellent communication skills;
Desirables:
Previous professional experience in the CEE/CIS region and familiarity with regional child protection, mental health, and social service systems are considered assets.
