EDUCATION

  • Master’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or

University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.

EXPERIENCE

Prior IOM Movement Operations, airport, transportation-related and/or management experience.

  • Work experience in programs including movement operations component, particularly in resettlement programs.
  • Experience with supervising multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IOM proprietary tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with handling sensitive information and personal data.
  • Experience with handling the issues in other countries in the region.
  • Experience with handling complex cases and workflow.

Experience with filling management level roles.

  • Knowledge of IOM's Movement Operations program implementation and administrative, financial and business rules and practices.
  • Familiarity with IOM policies, USRAP guidelines, and POE SOPs are strong advantage.

SKILLS

  • Self-motivated, objective-driven, and able to use own initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Collaboration and problem-solving skills.

  • High emotional intelligence to address issues professionally and impartially.
  • Computer/software literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize.

Languages

For all applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
