The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Officer, Malakal, for supervision. WASH Officer is accountable for professional technical contribution to programme/project design, planning, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of WASH programme/project activities, data analysis and progress reporting, and commitment to the enhancement of teamwork and capacity building, in support of the achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with country programme goals and strategy.

Minimum requirements

<strong>Education</strong>: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Climate Change, Social Science, Public Health, Water and sanitation, behavior change communication, civil/sanitary engineering and any other related fields.

<strong>Work Experience</strong>: 2 years of relevant work experience in Partnerships, Planning, Programme Management, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and any other related fields.

<strong>Skills</strong>: innovation, capacity building, communication, networking, monitoring, and delivery of service

<strong>Language Requirements</strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">: </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Fluency in English is required.&nbsp;</span></span>

Desirables

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.&nbsp;

Proven experience in emergency water supply, sanitation, and hygiene in developing countries.

Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
