For every child, the right to a Future

The situation of children and young people in Ukraine continues to be shaped by protracted war, deepening humanitarian needs and related response, as well as an ambitious reform and recovery agenda. The security situation is volatile and unpredictable, with attacks impacting urban areas, civilian infrastructure and essential services. The operating environment is also shaped by geopolitical dynamics, which create opportunities and constraints for advancing child and youth-related rights.

In this context, UNICEF Ukraine’s response includes a footprint across the country, through four field offices, and a large-scale humanitarian response that connects with recovery programming in frontline regions and beyond. UNICEF supports national child and youth focused reforms, while translating these into action through a locally owned and led recovery.
