The Global Programme Division (GPD) plays a central role in driving programme excellence, providing global strategic leadership and technical guidance, and linking global policy with on-the-ground action to deliver results for children at scale.
The post sits within the Healthy Environments for Healthy Children (HEHC) Programme of the Climate CoE in Bangkok, focusing on protecting children’s health and well-being from environmental hazards including pollution, climate change and built environments.
How can you make a difference?
The Programme Officer contributes to the delivery of concrete and sustainable results for the HEHC Programme by supporting efficient financial, administrative and coordination processes.

Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Programme Officer supports strategic coordination, technical resources procurement and budget and programme monitoring functions for the HEHC programme, including the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative.
The role provides operational support by tracking multi-country proposals, deliverables and performance indicators, and executing budget transfers and financial tracking within the VISION system in alignment with donor agreements.
Key responsibilities include coordinating communication across country networks, facilitating the contracting of technical resources, and supporting partnership and contract management processes, including financial workflows and system records.
The incumbent also supports administrative functions including meeting logistics, travel and TA deployment, budget monitoring and reporting, and the management of digital platforms and knowledge systems to ensure effective global collaboration and information sharing.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
