Design & Digital Communications Intern – PSEAH

The PSEAH Team supports corporate policy implementation, awareness-raising, capacity development, and knowledge sharing across UNDP , its partners and the communities it serves. Clear, accessible, and engaging digital content and visual materials are essential to strengthen awareness, promote behavioral change, and ensure consistent messaging across global platforms.

The internship provides an opportunity to support the PSEAH Team through design, digital content development, and website support, while gaining practical experience within the UN system.

Under the supervision of the PSEAH Team Lead, the intern will support the team in the following areas:

  • Design and update visual materials related to PSEAH, including:
  • Support the adaptation of global PSEAH materials for different audiences and contexts
  • Assist with basic layout and formatting of reports, guidance notes, and learning materials
  • Support the maintenance and updating of PSEAH-related content on UNDP internal and/or external websites
  • Assist in uploading, organizing, and updating digital resources and knowledge products
  • Support basic quality control (layout, accessibility, broken links, formatting consistency)
  • Support the development of online content, including:
  • Assist in compiling and organizing PSEAH communication materials and resources
  • Support the preparation of presentations and materials for trainings, webinars, and events
  • Provide administrative and coordination support related to PSEAH communications activities, as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving digital engagement and outreach
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical conduct
  • Shows commitment to UNDP values and principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong interest in design, digital communications, and online content
  • Attention to detail and visual consistency
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual content
  • Basic understanding of accessibility and inclusive communication is an asset
  • Enrolled in, or recently completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar
  • Basic experience with website content management systems is an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Fluency in English is required, French and Spanish highly desirable
  • Knowledge of additional UN languages is an asset
  • This internship will involve a stipent , in accordance with UNDP Internship Policy
  • Interns are responsible for arranging their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living expenses
  • Interns must provide proof of enrollment in a degree programme or recent graduation, as required by UNDP
  • Interns are expected to adhere to UNDP policies, including those related to confidentiality, ethics, and PSEAH
