Organizational Context and Scope
- Process and coordinate staff identification requirements, including UNID applications, renewals, replacements and related administrative requirements.
- Administer and maintain access control systems, including staff access cards, biometric systems, visitor management procedures and associated records.
- Administer and maintain CCTV systems and coordinate maintenance, repairs and upgrades with service providers as required.
- Contact daily contact with Security officer, to confirm any changes in staff movement within their area of responsibility prior to staff radio checks being conducted.
- Conduct periodic inspections of security infrastructure, including perimeter fencing, gates, lighting systems, guard posts and other physical security measures.
- Maintain inventories of security equipment and ensure serviceability, accountability and proper record keeping.
- Coordinate inspection, servicing and replacement of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and related safety systems.
- Maintain security-related records, databases, inventories and administrative documentation.
- Coordinate with field offices regarding security equipment, access control measures, infrastructure requirements and related security support matters.
- Support security assessments, site inspections and implementation of security recommendations.
- Assist with procurement processes related to security equipment, infrastructure improvements and security services.
- Support security briefings, awareness activities and training sessions as required.
- Assist in the preparation of security reports, inventories, compliance records, statistics and briefing materials.
Education
- University degree in Security, Social Sciences, International Studies, Communications or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two years of relevant professional experience;
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Recognized certificates in radio communications preferred.
Experience
- Relevant professional experience in the humanitarian, public, private or corporate sector is desirable;
- Experience in providing security coordination and administrative support for an international organization is desirable;
Experience supporting security operations, physical security measures, access control systems, CCTV systems or security administration is desirable., and;
- Experience maintaining inventories, security equipment records and administrative databases is desirable.
- Experience coordinating contractors, service providers and security-related maintenance activities is desirable.
- Successful completion of the UNDSS Field Security Associate (FSA) course is desirable.
- At least 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in radio communications and use of man pack and sat phones operations.

Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of Arabic.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
