The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the development programme of the United Nations system that is on the ground in about 170 countries and territories, with its headquarters in New York, USA.

The Audit and Evaluation Advisory Committee of UNDP was established in 2006 to assist UNDP Administrator in fulfilling their responsibilities regarding oversight, financial management and reporting, internal audit and investigation, external audit, risk management, the evaluation and ethics functions, and systems of internal control and accountability. The Committee is composed of members that are independent and external to UNDP. Members are not remunerated but shall be provided with travel and daily subsistence allowances (per diem) for attending in-person audit committee meetings. Meetings are held three times a year at UNDP headquarters in New York. The Committee may also conduct virtual meetings when needed.

UNDP calls for expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to serve in this advisory committee.

Applicant should have relevant advanced professional qualifications and significant senior-level experience in finance, accounting, internal audit, investigation, external audit, evaluation, ethics, risk management, information technology, internal controls and governance. A strong understanding of the structure and functioning of the United Nations system and/or other intergovernmental organizations would be desirable.
